Sujung Lim is a South Korean ballet dancer, currently performing as a Soloist with Ballett Zürich. She graduated top of her class from Yewon School before earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, also graduating top of her class, from the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim. She is also a Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) Level 1 Certified Teacher.

A Gold Medalist at Tanzolymp Berlin in both 2008 and 2011, Sujung began her professional career as a Soloist with Staatstheater Karlsruhe (2011–2018), where she gained extensive stage experience through a diverse repertoire, performing in productions such as Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet, John Cranko’s The Taming of the Shrew, Peter Wright’s Giselle, and Christopher Wheeldon’s Swan Lake.

Since joining Ballett Zürich in the 2018/19 season, she has established herself as a versatile and expressive artist, performing numerous solo roles in works by some of the world’s most renowned choreographers, including Cathy Marston, Christian Spuck, Wayne McGregor, Patrice Bart, William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Jiří Kylián, Marcos Morau, Crystal Pite, Hans van Manen, Edward Clug, and Mats Ek. Recognized for her refined technique, musicality, and expressive stage presence, she continues to make a significant artistic impact through a wide-ranging classical and contemporary repertoire.

In recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements, she was awarded the Dance Prize of the Friends of Ballett Zürich in 2025.

As an educator, Sujung is passionate about helping dancers build a strong classical foundation while developing artistry and body awareness. Her teaching emphasizes the principles of Port de Bras and Épaulement, encouraging dancers to move with intelligence, precision, and expressive freedom through a deep understanding of coordination, musicality, and spatial awareness.
